By using highly popular plugins such as Divi or Restrict Content Pro – you’re sure that there are huge development teams behind, regularly pushing updates and adding new features. Those plugins are paid, and those businesses as successful as they are, are highly unlikely to go away any time soon.
Having said this, the sites we build are made following the best practices and tools available at the time, BUT you need to be aware that things related to tech can sometimes go wrong and that there is no perfect solution out there. We don’t provide any kind of guarantee related to plugins and tech used for powering your website apart from delivering a fully functional site per specs at the time of build.
We do believe we have come as close as possible to providing the smoothest solution for running an online membership. Should you choose one of the maintenance packages, we will also do our best to provide support for the things we can help you with.
Hope this didn’t sound too scary, but we felt we need to be realistic when it comes to the reality of owning your own WordPress membership site.
In our opinion – flexibility, customization level, and stack ownership far outweighs any possible downsides in regards to tech bugs and stuff that can happen over the life of WordPress membership site.
When you get custom developed plugins made just for you, you need to make sure the developer that made those plugins is available to quickly update them every time there is a new WordPress update or conflict with other plugins. This can prove to be unreliable and very risky for membership sites due to the very dynamic nature of the business where all action takes place right there on the website (as opposed to other businesses offering other types of products or services).
